The perfect way to end the day

Sunsets are better from the water

Trade the crowded beach for the open ocean. Our sunset cruises glide along the south shore with unobstructed views of Diamond Head and the Honolulu skyline while the sky turns gold. Bring your favorite drinks, relax, and keep an eye out for turtles, dolphins and — in winter — passing whales.

Sunset Cruise FAQs

Our shared sunset cruise departs between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM, timed to the season's sunset — check your booking for the exact departure time on your day. On a private charter, we can adjust your departure time around your chosen duration and preferences so you're on the water at the perfect moment for sunset.
Yes, our Waikiki Sunset Cruise is BYOB — bring cans rather than glass, since glass isn't permitted on deck.
Light, breathable clothing plus one extra layer — it's warm at the dock but cools quickly once the boat is underway and the sun drops. We keep a barefoot policy on all our boats, so plan to slip your shoes off once onboard — unless you need to keep them on for medical reasons.
Yes — there's no swimming or physical activity required, making it an easy, low-key option. The shared sunset cruise is for guests ages 7 and up.
It's not the focus, but turtles and dolphins are sometimes spotted along the route, and in winter (roughly December–April) you may see humpback whales offshore.
The shared cruise runs on the Big Kahuna alongside other guests at a set departure time. A private sunset charter is just your group, with a flexible schedule — and it's offered on both boats: the Keanuenue catamaran for up to 6 guests, or the Big Kahuna for larger groups.
